Hang on to the (right) Tree...

Handle with Care. I am sure all of us have heard it or read it somewhere. We usually use this phrase when we handle some precious, brittle articles. For those articles, which when broken it is hard to bring it back to its original state.

We need to handle different things in life. How we handle our failures and disappointments are very important.

I am going to propose to you a new Law which I copied from the BIBLE.

It’s called Judas-Peter Law.

The Law states “When you have failed your Master, and are guilty, you can go to a tree and hang yourself or you can go to the ONE who hung for you on the tree."

Judas betrayed the Lord once. Peter denied the Lord Thrice.
Judas betrayed by kissing. Peter Denied by cursing
Judas was bold enough to say that Jesus was his Master. Peter was fearful enough to deny that Jesus was not his Master.
Both failed their Master. Both nailed their Master.
Both wept bitterly.
One wept bitterly and repented. Another wept bitterly and took his life.
Both were guilty. Both had the same Master. Both followed their master closely and yet one went to the tree of hope and lived, while other went to a tree and died without hope.

Same Mistake. Equal chances. But one chooses life and other death. One waited and other wasted. And Jesus came back to the one that waited.

Remember it’s never too late. You always have hope. Don’t give up. Wait and renew your strength.

I would like to restate that “When you have failed your Master, and are guilty, you can either go to a tree and hang yourself or you can go to the ONE who hung for you on the tree and live.”

He Was There...

He was there when the water turned wine
He was there when the temple was cleared
He was there when people being baptized
He was there when the sinful women was turned to be a missionary
He was there when diseases were healed
He was there when blind saw, deaf heard, and lame walked
He was there when sins were forgiven
He was there when dead rose back to life
He was there when 5 loaves 2 fishes satisfied 5000 men
He was there when he saw Jesus praying
He was there when he saw Jesus was in Gethsemane
He was there when Peter cut Malchus’s ear
He was there when Christ hung on the tree

John was there.

In all these, you must notice John was THERE!!!

He was there when Christ was exalted and He was there when Christ was executed. He was there ALL the time.

Bible doesn’t mention John’s Doings. But it mentions John leanings.
It mentions that John was there all the time with Jesus. Even when all the other disciples ran and hid, he stood beneath the cross in silence. No Great miracles done, no great sermon preached, no great boasting but just being by the side of Jesus was enough for John.
He loved it and the Lord loved it too.
What a great example for us. We are always focused on DOINGS. We DO and DO and DO.

But have we learned to BE with Him all the time? Have we learned to Love Him?
No matter whatever may be the situation have learned to BE with Him?

Let’s Learn from John today.

Let’s do away with the DOINGS and begin to BE with Jesus.

Don’t you hear Jesus say "You are worried and upset about many things, but ONLY ONE thing is needed?” - Luke 10:41-42

Job or Jesus

Last night I was reading about a judge who had to judge a Judge (Didn’t come out tat well). It was interesting but disappointing. It was a case about a man, sorry God, sorry God-Man (That seems apt)
Yes! you ve got it, it was about Jesus. Am talking to you about the trail of Jesus. Some one said it was Pilate who was facing the trail. True.

Pilate had to make a decision. A choice.

Pilate had to choose between Truth and lie, Way and broad way, Life and death.
In short, he had to choose between his JOB and JESUS.

He knew that if he didn’t crucify Jesus, he had to crucify his Job. If he didn’t satisfy the crowd, they will throw him out of his job. And for him Jesus was not as important as His Job. Am I striking a cord in some ones heart?

In this IT era, oh how we love our job. We are proud of it. We talk about it. We spend most of our time Jobbing (Didn’t get the correct word sorry!). Most of us live for our Job.
Should we not love Jesus alone? Should we not be proud of Jesus alone? Should we not spend most of our time Jesussing? (Sorry couldn’t help it!). Should we not live for Him?

Pilate had to make a choice! Pilate tried 5 times to deliver Jesus.
Jesus was silent. The crowd said Crucify Him. I suppose the silence of Jesus was louder than the Crowd uproar. Bible says “Their” voice prevailed.
In spite of knowing the truth, He chose not to choose and ultimately chose his Job over Jesus.

Yes we too have a crowd saying Choose your Job. Honor it. Love it. Job is your life.
But we have to choose. Don’t let your Job rule you.

Did Pilate ever regret His decision? We don’t know.

But for sure you will, if you don’t Choose Jesus over your Job.

Whom do you serve, Jesus or your Job?
Remember you can only serve ONE.
